Despite these difficult times and the new restrictions, all of us on the BeachByBabs team are still here to assist all those who want to take advantage of the still historically low mortgage rates, explore the benefits of owning a property in and around the beautiful beaches here in Sussex County, as well as the tax advantages of making Sussex County their home.
So while most of you are required to stay home, we can easily communicate “face to face” via the internet utilizing Zoom, Skype and Facetime to name a few, and discuss any property at length and in detail. Every agent on the team has years of experience and extensive knowledge about the area and the many communities surrounding the beaches, golf courses, state parks and inland waterways. This allows us to provide insight and nuances about properties and communities that you would not find online. Although some properties are not allowing any showings and relying only on virtual tours, we will be glad to personally tour a property that is allowing showings and use Facetime to virtually take you on the tour with us. There is little keeping us from offering the services and information you want now so that you can be fully informed about a property before committing to a visit.

Below are the newly instituted rules for touring properties. All persons who will be touring properties, including agents, will be required to sign a form certifying that they meet all these requirements:
Each person present during a showing/visit must individually certify that to the best of their knowledge, information and belief, neither they nor a member of their household with whom they live nor a person they work with closely:
- Have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last 14 days (fever, cough, sore throat, respiratory illness, difficulty breathing)?
- Has been diagnosed (tested positive) with COVID-19.
- Has a test pending for COVID-19.
- Is under quarantine directed by a healthcare provider due to COVID-19 concerns.
- Has traveled in the past 14 days to anywhere designated as having widespread sustained spread by the CDC.
- Has had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Has had contact with someone who had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
Many Sellers are also requiring that any prospective buyers that wish to personally tour their properties need to show their ability to purchase – a mortgage pre-approval, or proof of funds if they are anticipating paying cash.
